New American Candidates Have a Chance to Change the Makeup of Districts Across the Country

Today, New American Leaders Action Fund announced its third wave of endorsements for the 2021 cycle, as New American candidates’ strong campaigns indicate a chance for big wins this year.

“For one of the first times, we’re seeing not just one, but several strong New American candidates in key races. We are proud to put our support behind these changemakers, who are running values-forward campaigns, and running on platforms that protect vulnerable, often overlooked communities,” said Sara Le Brusq, Interim President of New American Leaders Action Fund.

“We have been living under a system that was never created to help all people, and the inequities were only exacerbated this past year. We know that seeing New Americans on the ticket—who speak to the hopes and struggles of our communities—motivates them to vote and participate, and inspires the next bench of candidates. New Americans are challenging ideas of who can run and who should lead, and together we can rebuild and strengthen our democracy,” Le Brusq continued.

New American Leaders Action Fund has issued endorsements in Maine, Massachusetts, New York, and Ohio, including first and second choice rankings in one race and first, second, and third choice rankings in another. Endorsed candidates include:
