New American Leaders Action Fund Announces Support of Trailblazing Candidates
Today, New American Leaders Action Fund announced six additional candidate endorsements in Georgia, Massachusetts, and Ohio—key states at the epicenter of the fight for voting rights and the movement of New Americans who are running for office, winning, and changing the face of leadership in our country.
“These leaders represent the hope we need right now. They are committed to serving and improving their communities and building a democracy that works for and represents all Americans,” said Ghida Dagher, President of New American Leaders Action Fund.
“Among these candidates are the youngest mayor of Cambridge and first Muslim mayor in Massachusetts, the first Indian American Cambridge City Councilor, and a second generation Mexican American who would be the first Latino on the Atlanta City Council. Not only are they the present, but they’re also the future of our democracy. With bold ideas, progressive values, and unique leadership styles, we know that these NALAF-endorsed candidates will transform and continue making a lasting impact in their communities.”
